Three-day itinerary
Seoul in 3 Days: A Flexible First-Visit Itinerary
An arrival-friendly two-night plan with a palace day, shopping and one flexible neighbourhood outing. Suggested blocks are planning allowances, not live opening times.
Day 1: arrive, settle in and explore nearby
Reserve your first block for the airport journey, bags and check-in. If you have energy, spend roughly 1–2 hours around Myeongdong and add a meal break. Keep the first evening close to your accommodation. A late arrival means skipping the walk, not rushing it.
Plan your arrival →Day 2 morning: Gyeongbokgung and the surrounding area
Allow roughly 2–3 hours for a relaxed palace visit, including arrival and a break. Confirm the official opening day before fixing this block. Pick one nearby cultural stop rather than adding every landmark. If the palace is closed, switch to your indoor day.
Day 2 afternoon: Insadong, then a market meal
Allow roughly 1–2 hours for Insadong browsing and a café stop. Later, consider Gwangjang Market for a short food visit if it suits your preferences. Check prices before ordering and ask the vendor about ingredients. These are flexible suggestions; meals and transfers need their own time.
Insadong place guide →Day 3: choose one neighbourhood before departure
Choose either Seongsu and Seoul Forest, or COEX and nearby Bongeunsa. Do not try to fit both into a short departure day. Keep shopping and café time flexible, return for your luggage and follow your airline’s recommended airport arrival allowance.
Make the plan fit your arrival and weather
If you land late on Day 1, move the short shopping walk to Day 2 and drop a stop. In rain, replace an outdoor block with one indoor anchor. With children or mobility needs, reduce transfers and check accessibility at the actual entrances. Map links open a separate service; set your intended departure time there.
