Gyeongbokgung Palace
경복궁

Explore the royal courtyards, Geunjeongjeon throne hall and the palace landscape around Gyeonghoeru Pavilion. Leave time for the museums beside the palace.
Gyeongbokgung is a place to understand the scale and rhythm of a royal palace, rather than simply collect a photo of one building. The open courtyards, formal halls and landscaped water views offer different ways to experience the grounds. Look at the relationship between gates and halls as you move inward, then leave time to explore a quieter section away from the entrance.
A suggested visit
Begin with the main courtyard and Geunjeongjeon, continue toward the pavilion landscape, then decide whether to add a museum. If your time is limited, choose a few areas and enjoy them slowly rather than rushing across the whole palace.
